One Fine Day

Looove that movie! George Clooney and New York? Yes please! Not that it has anything to do with my day..besides it being fine and in New York!!! And “fine” is truly an understatement. I love this city, even through the stress of navigating a big group around and bargaining on Canal Street, I am in love with this city. And I was so thrilled not to have a story to do so I could dedicate my day to NYC activities.

We started out in Central Park and quickly moved to shopping. We went through China Town and then headed to Ground Zero. I’d never been before and I was really in awe of the whole site. I also wasn’t aware of the plans for the new World Trade Center which looks amazinggg on the posters. After that we walked to Battery Park and caught a glimpse on the Statue of Liberty. It was a great day for all of this walking, chilly at first but warm in the sun. Around 5 we headed back to the bus to change for Broadway! We had tickets for Wicked which just blew me away! I had tears in my eyes afer the “Defying Gravity” number right before intermission. And am still getting made fun for it.

We get to rest a bit tomorrow before heading to D.C. where my next story will be from. Our story from Chicago (ObamaNation) is on the HTV website www.htvmagazine.com-check it out!
