Looking Back
Now that I am home I can finally relax and look back on this INCREDIBLE adventure I just had. While we were on the road it was constant moving moving moving, getting our stories done, checking in and out of hotels, and trying to keep track of all the equipment. And all my shopping bags. And it sounds like work, but it was more fun than anything. I can’t think of a time when we weren’t...
Walking in Memphis...I mean Nashville..
I had been singing that the whole time we were in Nashville, I just changed the words a little! I feel like our trip slowed down a bit in Virginia Beach and Charlotte, we got a little behind schedule and the weather was colder than we expected, BUT it definitely picked up again in Nashville. Maybe it was the weekend and the music life, or maybe we all finally caught up on our sleep, but I think we...
Charlotte!
The mall in this town is the most unreal mall I have ever been to. It has valet parking! And all these brands have their own stores, it was amazing. But it was torture. I have no money to spend. I was okay in ridiculous stores like Chanel and Hermes because there’s no way I could buy anything..but Urban and Anthro were really hard on me! And Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus…oh my lanta. I...
Beach town!
Virginia Beach is a cute little beach town filled with so many fun-filled activities! You could seriously spend the whole day outside- IF it’s not 40 degrees! Plus the waterfront and wind- not so hot. How do we handle the situation? SHOPPING. Honestly I would’ve rather bundled up and gone biking or something but I had to go with the flow. Let me just say this: DO NOT LET ME SPEND...
IN THE DISTRICT
Washtington D.C.!! We woke up early and went to the “Newseum” and I seriously could have stayed there all day. History is my favorite subjet, and this was like an in-depth look U.S. history and world history as it was potrayed through both broadcast and written journalism. There are things I have always heard about but was either not alive or too young to recall, so it was so...
Monumental.
We arrived in D.C. this evening and quickly set out for site-seeing. First we drove around the city then we headed to the Lincoln Memorial. I had been looking forward to this the entire trip. It wasn’t until the more recent years of my life that I really understood and appreciated our country’s history, so seeing all of the monuments now meant more than ever before. Lincoln looked so...
One Fine Day
Looove that movie! George Clooney and New York? Yes please! Not that it has anything to do with my day..besides it being fine and in New York!!! And “fine” is truly an understatement. I love this city, even through the stress of navigating a big group around and bargaining on Canal Street, I am in love with this city. And I was so thrilled not to have a story to do so I could dedicate...
New York, New York!
Finally! After a loooong 8 hour bus drive and the added torture of being forgotten an left at a rest stop, we are finally HERE! …Almost. We’re in New Jersey. But our hotel is just 7 miles away and I’m ready to spend my day in the big city tomorrow! I uploaded some pics from Chicago and the bus-enjoy! Be sure to check back in after the weekend to see more!
Dia Dos!
Mow! Sarah and I wandered the streets of Chicago early this morning to produce our first package. Being in the town that our current president previously lived in, we decided to ask some natives how they felt with Obama as their president, and how he was handling the economic crisis. To make any story legit you have to get the counterpoint- well that proved to be very difficult! What do you know-...
To Chi-town!
Today is one of our trips longest drives! From Springfield to Chicago. I’ve been mostly sleeping so far so its going by pretty fast. However, there are definitely people on this bus that have waaay more energy than I do. I have yet to catch on to their excitement. I’m still groggy from our early departure but trust me, once I hit the streets of downtown Chi-town I will be buzzing!...

Roadtrip!
We are about to embark on a roadtrip like no other! The staff of HTV Magazine is heading out to find stories across the country! (well, the eastern part…) Who knows if we will be successful in our ambitious mission, but it will be an experince, I’ll say that. I will be documenting daily on tumblr. Don’t miss out!!
The only people for me are the mad ones. The ones who are mad to live, mad to...
