Looking Back

Now that I am home I can finally relax and look back on this INCREDIBLE
adventure I just had. While we were on the road it was constant moving moving moving, getting our stories done, checking in and out of hotels, and trying to keep track of all the equipment. And all my shopping bags. And it sounds like work, but it was more fun than anything. I can’t think of a time when we weren’t laughing or learning something new. I saw things I’d never seen and I got to do it with my best friends. I also got to tell stories I would have never had the opportunity to tell had I not gone on this trip, and to me that is the most important part. Being a senior, I feel like this helped me go leave HTV with a bang! And I am very thankful.

Walking in Memphis…I mean Nashville..

I had been singing that the whole time we were in Nashville, I just changed the words a little! I feel like our trip slowed down a bit in Virginia Beach and Charlotte, we got a little behind schedule and the weather was colder than we expected, BUT it definitely picked up again in Nashville. Maybe it was the weekend and the music life, or maybe we all finally caught up on our sleep, but I think we all had a good time in Tennessee. People found good stories and those who didn’t have to work found good shops! That is, IF we had any money left at that point. Opry land was quite an experience, I met a Frenchmen named Ehti (he spelled it when I asked “huh?”) who wanted to give me a personal tour of the city. Sadly, I had to decline. He also tried selling me an electronic cigarette. It was love. And even though I didn’t go to the concert (I’m not a big country music fan) I understand those who went had the best time. When the night was over I believe we were all ready to sleep on the bus and head home.

Charlotte!

The mall in this town is the most unreal mall I have ever been to. It has valet parking! And all these brands have their own stores, it was amazing. But it was torture. I have no money to spend. I was okay in ridiculous stores like Chanel and Hermes because there’s no way I could buy anything..but Urban and Anthro were really hard on me! And Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus…oh my lanta. I did look at prom dresses though! I found a gorgeous one but it was $600….so I’m thinking it’s a no.

Well we’ve been gone for a week and I have had the time of my life. I’m doing and seeing things I have never done or seen! And with all my best friends! I have to say that I’m a bit suprised at how successful our stories have been…but maybe I speak too soon. Don’t want to jinx anything! Hopefully we’ll have a smooth finish. It’s a 7 hour ride to Nashville tomorrow. Can’t wait!

Beach town!

Virginia Beach is a cute little beach town filled with so many fun-filled activities! You could seriously spend the whole day outside- IF it’s not 40 degrees! Plus the waterfront and wind- not so hot. How do we handle the situation? SHOPPING. Honestly I would’ve rather bundled up and gone biking or something but I had to go with the flow. Let me just say this: DO NOT LET ME SPEND ANYMORE MONEY. Hopefully Charlotte and Nashville have nothing for me to buy. Annnd I really don’t think I deserve to eat again after spending $40 on a seafood dinner. Why did they have to introduce me to crab legs?? My friends are a terrible influence.  We’ll see how the rest of this plays out.
